Report: Agent says this is Murray’s last season as Oklahoma QB

If Oklahoma football fans have grown anxious this offseason worrying about whether quarterback Kyler Murray will stick around for the Sooners, at least they won’t have to worry about that after this season. His agent says when this season is over, so is his career as an Oklahoma football player. In a story published Saturday by The Athletic’s Jason Kersey, Scott Boras, Murray’s baseball agent, said “Kyler’s baseball career has a very defined path which includes playing football at OU for only the 2018 season.”That very much mirrors what Murray himself reportedly said last month.”When you get drafted, you’ve got one year to play football and your time’s up,” The Oklahoman’s Ryan Aber quoted Murray as saying during previous interviews. “I’ve been playing football my whole life. I don’t want to look at it like that. Obviously you’ve got to take it one day at a time, one play at a time. That’s how I’ve always played the game. Can’t get too ahead of ourselves.”
